About Steven
Much of my photographic work is a personal interpretation of the world—an attempt to capture not just what is seen, but what is felt. Many of my images are processed to reflect this vision, rooted in the idea that beauty is deeply subjective.
My creative journey began early, experimenting with pencil sketching, charcoal, oil on canvas, watercolor, and even a bit of metal and woodworking. But photography was the medium that resonated most. It gave me a way to observe, reflect, and express—without boundaries.
Over the years, I’ve been asked whether I’d consider event photography. The truth is, I’ve always been more interested in creating for personal meaning rather than meeting expectations. If I succeed or fail, I prefer it to be by my own hand.
As Christopher Kimball once wrote, “We must lose what we think we know so that we can come to see what we least expect.” That spirit of discovery continues to guide my work.
Constructive feedback is most welcome. It usually reflects a caring nature.
